Located in the western part of the country, bordered with Republic of Macedonia, Ohrid Lake is the most popular among the Albanian lakes.
Ohrid Lake has an area of 362 m2; and one-third of that belongs to Albania. It is the deepest in the Balkan Peninsula, its depth reach approximately 300 meters. The most popular holiday resort is Pogradeci and there are several fishing villages such as Lini, Pojska, Driloni and Tushemishti.
