According to the Customs Code, it is prohibited to take into the territory of the country: fire arms, munitions,drugs as well as other objects and substances that are dangerous for the public.
There are special rules to prohibit the transport out of Albania of precious metals, antique coins, old maps, certain antique objects, books and art work which are part of the national cultural and historical heritage.
